Actress Nicole Kidman met country singer Keith Urban at a Hollywood event in Los Angeles that honors Australians in January of 2005. Kidman and Urban were married roughly a year and a half later on Sunday June 25, 2006. The ceremony was performed at the Cardinal Cerretti Memorial Chapel on the grounds of St Patrick's Estate, Manly in Sydney. The couple maintains homes in both Sydney, Australia and Nashville, Tennessee. They welcomed their first child, a daughter named Sunday Rose Kidman Urban, on July 7, 2008, in Nashville, Tennessee.
In the fall of 2006, Urban checked himself into the Betty Ford Center in California due to a substance abuse problem. He checked back out after completing the stint on January 18, 2007. During his time inside of rehab, he released a statement.. "I deeply regret the hurt this has caused Nicole and the ones who love and support me. One can never let one's guard down on recovery, and I'm afraid that I have." It appears however that Nicole stayed by her man. She visited on two occasions, and Keith flew to be with her family the day after christmas during a short break from rehab.
