One way that we determine what it is that our readers want, is to utilize some tools that are available to us to see what things people are searching the search engines for. Yahoo does a great job of telling us what terms related to celebrities like Jennifer Aniston or Brad Pitt is hot. During my daily research today, some things that I noticed were worthy enough to write this article about!
Let’s look at just the searches on Yahoo! that involved Ms. Aniston during the month of October. 358,000 people searched by her name only. This makes sense because she has been all over the talk show circuit of late. Where it gets interesting is after that.
The number two searched for term (drumroll)…. “Jennifer Aniston sedu hair style”, was searched for 85,000+ times on Yahoo! alone. First of all, it amazes me to no end that this many people know the little tool she uses on her hair by name. Apparently it is basically an iron for the hair.
As I expected, the terms “Jennifer Aniston nude” and “Jennifer Aniston naked” were in the top 10 with over 35,000 searches performed. What’s funny about this is that the recent press about the photographer who took the pictures of her sunbathing didn’t occur until November, so it will be interesting to see the spike that occurred there.
Number 4 on the list, Jennifer Aniston and Vince Vaughn, is the one that tells us there is strong interest in this new Celebrity Couple.
In all of our research, it’s kind of funny to see “Jane Doe” + Nude is always in the top 10 search terms for each celebrity.
Talk about Scientology getting a huge boost from Mr. Cruise. The fifth most popular search term involving his name is “Tom Cruise Scientology”. Even more humorous is number seven for him, “Tom Cruise Gay”. I think we can all agree here at Celebrity Couples that there shouldn’t be too many relevant web sites on that subject.
Angelina Jolie received the highest number of searches during that month for a Hollywood performer, coming in way over 500,000 for October on Yahoo!. And, going right along with her sex appeal, about half of the top 10 terms were naughty by nature.
Britney Spears, however, dwarfed everyone on our Celebrity Couples site, being searched for over 2 Million times.
