The storks are busy lately in the land of celebrity couples, and it appears little bumps around the belly and the pitter patter of little feet is the current style of Hollywood. Suri
Cruise, Shiloh Jolie-Pitt and Sunday Kidman-Urban have become the hottest baby names around over the last couple years. Brad and Angelina, J-Lo and Marc Anthony and now Rebecca Romijn and Jerry O’Connell have all decided that one wasn't enough, so they splurged for twins!
"Celebrities are archetypes for cultural phenomenon. There was a period when big actresses didn't want to have a child and have their bodies go out of whack, but that's shifted. It's become cool to have a baby. You can do it and still be a rock star," states Dr. Judy Kuriansky, a psychology professor at Columbia University's Teachers College, to a New York Daily News reporter.
Many of the famous parents are also cashing in on their children's fame. Brad Pitt and
Angelina Jolie (Brangelina) are expected to receive a payout of more than $10 million for the first shots of their newborn twins, Knox and Vivienne.
According to the media, Jennifer Lopez received $6 million for the first shots of twins Emme and Max. Matthew McConaughey was paid $3 million for snaps of his son Levi, and Jessica Alba and Jamie Lynn Spears each got $1 million dollars for daughters Honor and Maddie, respectively.
The fun hasn't started to subside yet either, as Celebrity Couple members Gwen Stefani and Gavin Rossdale, Naomi Watts and Liev Schreiber, Jennifer Garner and Ben Affleck, and Ashlee Simpson and Pete Wentz are all currently expecting.
