Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt are patiently waiting in the Southern African country of Namibia for their first born to come into the world. The government of Namibia has put down some pretty strict visa rules for journalists who wish to cover the "event". The government is threatening to expel anyone who doesn't have written consent from the couple to cover the birth of the child.
"Since Pitt and Jolie, 30, and her two young children, Maddox and Zahara, arrived in the sleepy coastal town of Walvis Bay last month, they have been shielded by their own bodyguards and Namibian police at the luxury Burning Shores resort hotel" claims the Associated Press in a recent article.
The high profile couple has certainly increased the awareness surrounding Namibia, a country rich in diamonds and metals, but has a high rate of poverty. The Namibians are certainly grateful. A recent poll on a local radio station found that 50% of participants were willing to mark the birth of the baby as a national holiday.
