Despite a barrage of unfavorable reviews by critics around the country, the word of mouth seems to show that "The Break Up" is well worth seeing if your up for a good laugh. Critics have cited that the movie, starring the rumored real life couple of Jennifer Aniston and Vince Vaughn, is just an hour and a half of a couple fighting. They also claim that Vince is better off in character roles rather then having an on-screen presence for the full time of the movie. Based on feedback we have received here at Celebrity Couples Online however, it appears the movie will be a hit with real audiences.
The movie debuted this weekend on top of the box office, besting second week player "The X-Men". Total gross ticket sales domestically were $38.1 Million. This definitely shows that audiences weren't necessarily paying much attention to the bad reviews.
Claire, a member of our message boards, states "I must say critics made my expectations low, but I thought The Break Up was wonderful. It was really great to see a movie that was so real, but at the same time, makes you laugh! It was interesting to be on the voyeur side of a relationship that is ending."
